It has 8 64-bit cores and liquid cooling. It is likely the last of it’s kind....

Motorola something, since it’s now Lenovo?
edit: Oh, it was obvious. I google’d it. Won’t give it away, though.

8 64 cores? Sounds like some kind of Xeon Server.
Or a stack of Android phones/tablets.

Good luck with your phone! I have been using Windows Mobile since the 920 was released, but I am going to join the Droid side. I dropped my 830 enough it affected the hardware, and my replacement came from China and does not work in the US properly.
So I am looking to get a Nexus 5x. I am not loving the idea of moving away from Windows, but MS has basically given up and I am not willing to wait until next year to see if they continue support or give up entirely.

8 cores but only 3GB RAM? Seems a bit off balance.
Congrats on the purchase, that’s some power in a phone.

yeah, 4GB or more would have been nice... ARM code is pretty compact though, if you have well-written software it should bennefit more from multiple execution threads than memory, as you’re less likely to run into bottle-necks there. Still... I know what you mean, 8 cores and only 3GB RAM seems a little stingy.
